Howdy everyone! I'm planning to participate in the "Backcountry Trails" program, a 6 month program with the CCC in which you live in a national park and build trails, bridges, etc. There's no network coverage, electricity, or even other people in the backcountry, so I plan on taking a PPC loaded with eBooks, music, and games for entertainment. I'd like to know which Pocket PC yall recommend.

I'm looking for the following things:

1. Standard adaptor plug - I plan to charge it using daisy chained iSun solar chargers, and it only works with standard plugs
2. Battery life - longer is better, solar charging takes forever :-)
3. Durability - not necessarily "ruggedized", but something that doesn't have dpad, scrollwheel, or card slot problems.
4. CF & SD slots - lots of memory needed for media storage and backup.

I'd appreciate any feedback, especially from anyone that's used a PPC away from civilization. Thanks.

Oh, and the mobile forum works like a charm :-D

You need the Scott EVeste for sure. Thought I'm not sure if they've released the model with the solar-charging shoulder-pads yet. Sounds like a fun project!
