It seems that they missed a crucial little step, like actually waiting for appropriate certification and stuff. While I'm guessing that it won't burn a hole through your skull, it's nice to have certification where things like lasers are involved.

Ken Schilling, President and CEO of iBIZ Technology Corp assured the public that "We do not have a time line at the moment for product certification approvals; however, we will keep our customers informed via e-mail, updates on our web site, and through press releases as quickly as we have confirmed dates." Watch this space for further virtual developments.

I think you meant to post this to the virtual news at www.oqothoughts.com

I still contend that somebody misplaced the prototype and since it's a virtual keyboard they can't find it. :)

I'm wondering why they haven't released any NEW pictures of the device..... it's still that same picture with the "virtual" hands. I don't understand why people would preorder this thing without actually even seeing any real pictures of the device... :(

How "assured" would you feel when they say they don't have a schedule for this? As for updates on their Web site, maybe the first one should be to remove the May 4 "Now Shipping" news item. And what's up with their home page talking about the packaging of the keyboard? I know that's how I choose a product to buy.
Seriously, while the Virtual Keyboard has a high cool factor, it seems like a silly idea. I'd much rather have a foldable keyboard with real keys. It may be larger, but it's also more flexible and more ergonomic.

Yup - that was exactly my point. Maybe I should have been even more sarcastic

I am 100% with you. I love my folding keyboard, and no fancy-schmancy laser keyboard with no tactile feedback is going to make me change my mind.
