Astronomy Software

Hi all,
I know there are desktop versions and for PPC, there's The Sky, etc.
I'm using the now obsolete Pocket Universe 2000 and found it extremely useful when finding out where the constellations. The only disadvantage is its no longer being updated.
Is there a software that has similar characteristics, provides a WYSIWYG type of interface similar to that for PU2000? One that you can update the the data online.
I'm asking as I needed a sofware that can tell me where the comets are with respect to the constellations...

I am not too familiar with astronomy programs for the Pocket PC but I have looked into a few. I am thinking about registering Pocket Stars (http://www.nomadelectronics.com/PocketPC/PocketStars/PocketStarsIntro.htm) but still may look into a few others.

There is a website by Hi Airisu (http://cgi.members.interq.or.jp/taurus/roba/pocket/index.htm) that lists a number of astronomy programs. Maybe there is something there that might help.

When you do find one that you like, please post. I would be interested in which program you choose and why.

I've never used Pocket Universe, but my favorite astronomy program is Taiyoukei (http://www.alfcen.com/pocket/taiyokei.htm). It is a great program, and it is free.

This Taiyoukei progrm is outstanding!!! I have been looking for something like this, and for it to be free on top of everything it offers is incredible!

Plus, he's got practically an entire page available of free add-ons for downloading...AWESOME!!!

yes. taiyoukei is a great resource as well...I only hoped that they can make the installation process less complicated and allow for a single installation file to install everything.
