I am trying to use Trillian behind a firewall. MSN works fine, but AOL IM does not work. The funny thing is, I can use the regular AOLIM application behind the firewall. Is there a configuration that I am missing?

Dunno - I'm using it fine, and I have a firewall...

Same here - no problems behind a firewall - Linksys & zonealarm.

Using trillian at my office for AOL as we speak, although I do remember having some problems at my old employer from time to time. Usually, I fired up AIM and had it auto-detect usuable ports, them told Trillian to use that port and it worked fine. Sorry I can't walk you through it, but I don't have AIM installed on this computer.

"Firewall" is a vague term. If you have a very restrictive firewall, AIM might still work because it can work through an HTTP proxy. I don't know if Trillian does.

BTW, have you checked Trillian's webboards for posts on this subject? They're very active...

Is there a PPC Trillian?

If you're asking if Cerulean Studios came up with a Pocket PC port, the answer is no. If you're asking if there are any third-party multinetwork IM clients, I think there might be -- but I can't remember; try a search.
