Does anyone know how you can change the icons to the shortcut files in the Start menu on the PPC? At the moment, one of my shortcuts has this blurry brown icon that looks like a piece of low-pixelated turd...I'd do anything to change that icon!

I'd wish the PPC would have a similar "Change Icon" feature that the PC has.

Thanks in advance.

In addition to DJ Apod's question, I'd also like to know if anyone knows where one can obtain additional ppc icons to be used for various other shortcuts, when we do replace them.

I didn't look at it too carefully, but this might help:

Nah...I've seen this before...it just provides an icon library to modify the icons of certain folders (e.g. My Documents, My Pictures, etc.).

What I'm looking for is a way to actually import your own .ico, .dll, etc. file over to the PPC and have some sort of way to change the icon of a shortcut file to the new icon.

Thanks anyway.

This may get you closer. It's worth reading the whole post. They discuss modifying the existing dll's and also creating your own.

Novosec's PocketFacelift did this with PPC2000 and PPC2002... It's not fully compatible with WM2003 though...

But you might want ot check out how it changes the icons though...
