I recently purchased the Sprite Backup Upgrade Premium Edition for my hp4155. My PC operates on Windows 98SE. I am not able to get the hp to run a backup to my PC. Anyone have the solution or suggestions?

If your desperate... you can do what I do as the norm. I have never backup directly to the PC... I have always done a backup to my memory card.... and then manually transferred the file to a folder on my desktop for archiving. I always wanted the current backup available on my memory card incase of an emergency.

Are you getting any error messages? If so, what are they?

From reading Sprite's support page (http://spritesoftware.crmdesk.com/answer.aspx?id=134&back=faq.aspx%3Fproduct%3d0%26query%3d98%26search%3dSearch%26area%3d0%26criteria%3d0%26sort%3d0%26page%3d1), it looks like it should work on 98 and 98SE, but not 98ME...

That functionality is standard with the iPaq Backup software bundled with the 415x. My guess is that Becca purchased the upgrade specifically to back up to a PC. :wink:

One error message produced the log file that I'm to send to Sprite Customer Support. Another said it was unable to connect - check to see that you are still connected and utilizing the same port - which I was in both cases.

I will say that prior to a hard reset a few day back, the software was working. Since the reset, I've tried reloading the software two-three times but still not luck.
