I've had several 1945's before. The one I just got (with 1.10 ROM) has had this happen 3 times now. Problem is that after turning off ( I THINK always after disconnecting from ActiveSync) when I turn it back ON the backlight does not come on. Nothing helps except a soft reset after which all is well again.
Note, I am not holding the power button down too long. In fact, continuing to hold it down does not toggle the light as it should-again, short of a reset.
