Is anybody out there sick of the big wait??? Come on kids, we have a new OS & Processor(s) but no REAL new devices. If I read about one more QVGA machine with 64MB, 400Mhz running Windows Mobile 2003 (first edition) I'm going to give up and buy a sub-laptop. And yes I know about the E-805 but after my E-335 and E-755 "A.K.A. bugs and hard reset " they will never see any of my money again. :?:
PS I have cash :!:

Well, considering that Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition was announced about a month ago, I think you can expect to see new hardware based on that OS in the next 60-90 days if historical patterns prove to be accurate.

I guess I could be mistaken but I remember when WM2003 was announced there were new devices announced and released at the same time or within a few weeks. Also we haven’t even seen but one new device "that isn’t the same old thing" even leaked out. That one is the Asus A730 and even it has been A.W.O.L. for the past month or so as far as new info, pictures, release dates... There is barely info leaking out to the internet about the H6000 and lets face it, it has all the same old specs except for being a HP phone.

oh, in that case give it time to go through manufacturing and marketing, then wait for it to get to your store shelves, personnally I'm just wating for WM2003SE for Rex, I feel kind of guilty hard resetting it, but that all goes away once my settings are back the way I like 'em.

rex is my refurbished iPAQ 2210 or 2215 I don't know what Rex's first life was I just know that his first owner went by "Vee" thanks Nevo? Nevo stores user and device info in ROM so that how I know that.

Anyways I didn't buy rex direct from HP and the box just said iPAQ 2200. I did buy a 2215 from the online retailer, but when they confirmed they said your iPAQ 2210 is confirmed, then on shipping they said your iPAQ 2215 has shipped so except when dealing with hp support it is just 2200 but it can go either way with hp support because they don't just copy the files to both pages at the same time, its often one or the other.

did that make any sense?

Tricia I'm going to work now but I'll reword that for you when I get back. If you were just joking let me know so I don't waste any time, if you were serious, expect a post sometime LATE tonight.

Someone said it wasn't clear what Rex was until/if you read my sig. I went a little crazy and posted a brief history/bio of the device.

I must admit, I got fed up with the lack of innovation for PPC and ordered something else. Microsoft and the OEMs just seemed to totally lose interest in developing the products the last year or so. There is nothing available today I'd trade my 14 month old X5 for. I'm sure I'll be back in the MS fold at some point with something like the FlipStart (stupid name) or OQO.

It would be great to have a small device that I could put in a docking station and use as my only computer. I would rather get one of these than invest in a new laptop. My T22 Thinkpad is just going to keep going for a while to see if any of these vapourware devices ever come to the market.

I'm sure I'll get a Smartphone at some point too, probably the new version of the Treo 600 when it arrives. The current 600 would be tempting with more memory, BT and a decent screen. It's certainly the best Smartphone from an integration point of view. I'm not a fan of POS, but I don't think it matters so much in a phone.

dh, I must agree with you. The Treo 600 is by far the best smartphone device out there, and it would be excellent with those additions you mentioned. However, what do you think of that new BenQ device (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25937&highlight=benq) that's coming out? It will have similar dimensions of the Treo, but with WiFi as well. Personally, I'm really excited about that device as it will combine the best of both worlds.... the excellent hardware design of the Treo with the excellent Windows Mobile OS. :)

The question is, when will it be coming out? :| If a Treo comes out on Verizon, I'm sure a lot of people would be tempted. I'm also eagerly watching for the release of the new Danger Hiptop, as it's supposed to fix most of the problems that the previous one had and it's apparently slimmer as well.
