<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&product_id=721' target='_blank'>http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=...&product_id=721</a><br /><br /></div>IOGEAR have launched two new Bluetooth print adapters: "The Bluetooth USB Print Adapter is a palm-sized, single-port device that allows users to send print jobs from a Bluetooth-enabled computer without being connected by wires. In order to begin using the adapter, users simply plug it into a USB printer which enables wireless printing. The compact Combo Print Adapter allows a Bluetooth-enabled computer or PDA to send print jobs to a USB or parallel printer anywhere in the office. The product has an access range of up to 330 feet, longer than the length of a football field." You don't say? Long way to walk to pick up your prints though! <br /><br /> <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/BTadaptors.jpg" /> <br /><br />This would be useful from a Pocket PC perspective when combined with a Pocket PC printing solution that can make use of Bluetooth, such as <a href="http://www.anycom.com/us/products/pocketprint.html">PocketPrint</a>. The USB version is <a href="http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&amp;product_id=721">here</a> and the USB/Parallel version can be found <a href="http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&amp;product_id=724">here.</a> Happy long distance mobile wireless printing!

I won't get another IOGear product until they make available the up to date Widcomm drivers for their Bluetooth USB adaptors.

as with any other bt printer adapter... multi function printers are not supported (at least thats the USB version says... I couldn't find any compatible printer list for the other model)

I had problem looking for BT adapter for HP OfficeJet G85 because it is a multi-function printer/fax/scanner/copier unit. There are others who claim they can support multi function printers but when you look at their list, it disqualifies the printer I am using (even HP BT adapter which doesn't support the officejet G series)

So does the printer adapter need a battery? Or does it draw power from the printer?

based from the picture on the left, you have to plugin another power cable into it. don't worry, package contents include a power cable :-)

When you go to the site and click the "Buy Now" button, it tells you the product isn't yet available for online purchase.

Actually, you, sir, are the one who missed the joke. It's called "stealth spelling correction", and Steve was the one doing it. ;)

Back ontopic: I think there are other vendors that are selling similar adapters. bbarker, have you tried a Google search?
