iPAQ3870 2003->2002 downgrade

Hi everyone,

recently I downloaded ipaq3870 upgrade with mirc, then put it on my pda, but it became very instable.Sometimes it turns off automatically, jawbreaker game knock my device out after some minutes of playing. I decided to reload PPC2002, but now it seems a little bit harder as I thought before.
I downloaded PPC2002 rom (2.20 version) from HP's site, but it doesn't allow to restore or upgrade 2002 rom, saying it's not compatible with the one on my PDA. (4.00)
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
A trick or something?
I'm really in a need of help.Please anyone..! Thanks!

So that would be a pirated ROM? Sorry to say but ROM updates are a risky business. Loading e that doesn't come irect from the OEM is playing with fire.

Without a backup of the original ROM you are in a bit of trouble. Sorry.

You might have some luck with third-party flashing tools or using the 3870's bootloader, but this is at your own risk -- try Googling around for further info.

In the worst case, you can call HP and see what it would take for them to reflash it back to 2002.
