I saw photos on T.V I hope pictures like this will spread around so that people will start thinking with their conscious instead of their greed. I also heard that the Americans administration is afraid of such pictures being spread around and anti-war resentiment might rise again. I'm fully aware that many innocent Iraqi civilians are being injured and killed by US bombs, and that's horrific. Honestly, thoughts like this plague me every day... I do not consider myself truly pro- or anti-war, but that does not make me indifferent.
I would advise anyone in here especially young and sensitive members if you go to these sites, are aware you are going to see dead people of both sides.

Note: links to photos removed by moderator SJC. Feel free to search the web if you want to "see dead people of both sides."

This is a pocket pc forum.

I have some suggestions. Post this stuff at your national news forums or something. And, please, just read the registration rules when you register. A number of people would appreciate it.

Interesting.. I agree with you. It's scary thinking about the fact that people (including civilians) are dying over there. I personally think we shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place. However, now that we are involved, we have to stay until peace is resolved, no matter how long it takes.

On a sidenote: this probably should have been posted in the Off-Topic forum.

There are too many people to disagree with eachother. I have a feeling that politics aren't allowed in off topic either... I might be wrong. (Sorry if I am)

First, the word is "conscience". I hope most people who are thinking are "conscious".

I'm fully aware that many innocent Iraqi civilians are being injured and killed by US bombs, and that's horrific.
Too bad you weren't aware that this was a Pocket PC site. As far as I know, the U.S. isn't bombing in Iraq, and hasn't for a while. Even one of the sites you listed said the U.S. had stopped bombing.

Oh, and what about the Iraqis bombing those police stations earlier this week, killing their own civilians? I guess that doesn't bother you.

Honestly, thoughts like this plague me every day... I do not consider myself truly pro- or anti-war, but that does not make me indifferent.
You're not pro- or anti-war, but you're posting photos from "antiwar.com" and Al Jazeerah? Yeah, there's no bias on those sites.

Here's a clue -- on a Pocket PC forum, maybe your first post should be about -- oh, I don't know -- Pocket PCs. Having your first post go into the Hall of Flame and Shame (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=40) isn't an auspicious start.

Here's another clue -- learn to use detailed subjects, like "Iraq War Photos", instead of vague ones.

I was also thinking that spreading the images of dying and destroyed people really doesn't pay any attention to the story behind these people or the story of their culture and past.

Before sending pictures like this to people, anywhere, whether it's the right forum or not, please just try to imagine what you're accomplishing. It might haunt you every day, but the solution isn't to shock people or notify others of tragedy in a distant land. That's not capturing nor presenting the point at all.

The point seems to elude entire countries. This is far more complex than it's being given credit for. So if it matters so much to you, then you might want to study religion and history every couple of nights. Use your local library and the internet properly. And then talk about your pocket pc.

oh yeah, and try not to read those websites. They realy are biased.

All Jazeera isnt any more biased then Western media is.
The organisation is not liked by Middle eastern countries as they report on the corruption inside those regimes as well.

For those who dont know, All Jazeera was actually started as a BBC project before seperating themselves from the BBC and within journalistic circles(apart from places like Fox and other Murdoch outlets)the integrity of the network is not questioned.

US white house dignitaries like Powel and Rumsfeld appear on the network to be interviewed etcetera as well, that wouldnt happen if the network was BIASED and Anti American or whatever like some people seem to think.

Where to begin...

This is Pocket PC Thoughts, not to be confused with CNN. This is totally off-topic, and as such will be moved to the "Off-Topic" forum. Since that forum specifically states that there should not be any political/religious posts, this topic will also be locked...

The thread is locked, but I really want to stress this so there's no confusion: posts about POLITICS, RELIGION, or any other "hot button" topic (abortion, sexuality, etc) will be locked or deleted immediately. This is a Pocket PC community, and we're at our best when we're discussing and helping others with their Pocket PCs. Once you introduce touchy subjects, things get real ugly, real fast. It's just not healthy for our community, and it's not like there aren't hundreds of other forums and newsgroups out there that are for subjects like this.
