I just recently exchange my old hp1930 into a hp1940, but I kept the old hp1930's battery...

But now here's my question...?
My old hp1930 could run for around 4-5 hrs, whereas now my new hp1940 could only go for around 2-3hrs with the hp1930's battery? Thats almost half as less... :?

I shut off BT, and other unnesessary program too...
Is it because of the faster cpu? Then if so, why is it worth it for me to switch from hp1930 to hp1940??
I dont even need BT yet...

I found that I shouldnt of trade in the hp1930... now it cost me more $ and run less amount of time! And once again, I cant find any use for BT.... atleast not at the moment

So... what do you guys think? And should I be using a hp1940 battery instead of the old? And is it normal for hp1940 to drain more battery juice??

Have you tried it with its own battery? It sounds kinda strange, but if you have a minute, check out the specs for each on HP's site and see if the battery capacity is rated at the same level.

Also, make sure the power management and screen brightness settings are the same. I don't see how such a small CPU speed difference would make such a big difference in battery life.

I checked the battery on HP site...
And it should be the same (900mah) something like that...

But after another week of 1940 usage, I can now say that 1940 does take off much more battery then 1930!

I could be using Excel for 15minute and it would drain around 20% on the new 1940... sad :(

That doesn't sound right. Either your new device has issues, the battery has issues, or perhaps you've installed a custom application that is draining the battery.
