Hello! I'm in need of a Japanese and/or Korean input system (preferably keyboard)...I found this application called Effy that sounds rather useful, but unfortunately, I cannot purchase products online and thus need to find a freeware.

Any assistances would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :)

P.S: I already know of JWPce, but its input system only works within the JWPce app, and nowhere else...I'm in search of something that will work in any software. -^^-

I've never looked for Korean input but Effy is the most complete solution I've found for a non-Japanese PocketPC. I've been searching off and on for over two years (Japanese sites included) and have not come close to anything worthwhile. Its less than 20 bucks to its hard to go wrong.

The only other posibility is ATOK. They make a PPC IME but I've heard it doesn't work on non Japanese OSes. Besides I don't want to gamble with 50 bucks.

If you find anything better, I'd love to know about it.

DioTek (http://www.diotek.co.kr) makes DioPen, a Korean IME. Handango has it. I can't recall the price. I used DioPen on WinCE 2.11 and PPC 2000. I think the version number was 3 and it worked great. The current version is 5.

DioPen allows for several different ways of input: 1) character input like Transcriber, 2) a soft keyboard and 3) write anywhere on the screen like Calligrapher.

I'm using Decuma for Kanji/Kana input right now. Works very well. I hear that ATOK works as per this link http://discussion.brighthand.com/search.php?s=ad7ab28ebc02e28ff5c8708f0e6501e0

I've never really seen an app that can do this input publicized. If you find something, perhaps consider writing a review of it or asking someone here on the review team to consider it. It would be nice for this thing to be published somewhere findable (i.e. here.)
