Activesync trouble

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me out here.

I have ipaq 2200 and I am using activesync 3.7.1. Couple of days ago I had to install activesync again. But now it tries to establish a new partnership. And when I try to do that... it tells me that device name is already in use and wants me to change my PPC name. Is there anyway i can use the old partnership or I can delete the old partnership ?
