Hi,

I'm using IE on a Dell Axim X5 with PPC 2003.

However, web pages which have an "upload" file facility ie. using the html code <input type="file"....etc> do not display in the browser.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions to get around this problem would be appreciated.

Just got my Dell so apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere.

Regards,
pdanford

Yep, no can do... I think someone said that NetForce (another browser for the PPC platform) does support that...

Unless, one is a hard coder and makes an ActiveX for PIE and uses it to upload Worth a shot isn't it? :?

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know where I can download this NetForce browser from? Certainly worth giving it a go before I try a different approach.

Could be worth investigating - thanks.

think he meant NetFront browser, from a company called Access.

It's not free but you can buy it at Handango or download a trial.

Thanks for the info.

I've tried this browser and it DOES supports the <input type="file"....> functionality. Excellent!

This begs the questions as to why Pocket IE doesn't though. Mircosoft, eh!

Thanks again for your help.

no problems - glad its got the problem solved for you, even if you had to get extra software to do it !

you're right, it's something PIE should handle really.
