I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet. On April 19, 2000, at Grand Central Station in NYC, Steve Ballmer introduced our very favorite handheld computing platform, that would go on to obliterate the Zen of Palm, cause about a thousand arguments at multi-platform sites, and change all handheld computers as we knew them.. even Palm! (OK, some of this credit goes to the Palm-size PC, but PPC really solidified it)
