My 5550 is failing to find my (or any other) wireless networks. I turn the wireless on, and the light comes on but it doesn't find the network. Then, when I turn the wifi off, it often then displays the message that it has found the network and do I want to connect to the internet with it? But I can't cos I 've turned the wifi off
I'm confused....anyone else had this problem?

Has it ever worked?

If it hasn't, make sure you turn off WEP, make sure SSID broadcast is on, etc. and see if it recognizes it then.

Also, see if there are ROM updates on HP's website for your device.

I've had this happen with my 5555 but I was able to get on my network but the os wouldn't tell me when I was near another network. I upgraded to the latest rom 1.10 for the 5555 and it works great now.

its never worked on this WAN cos I've only just set it up, but I have connected to another WAN at work...once.
I think my ROM version is 1.00 so looks like I need to upgrade...oh great!
