Ive recently bought an ipaq 4150 with wireless adsl modem and router, at the moment ive got no problem with connecting to the internet, although is it possible using x-link (a pc to phone piece of software, made for pocket pc) to use the modem as a normal phone, to dial out and talk to people as i walk round my house..

A long shot but this software was designed i surpose to allow bluetooth connecting through your mobile phone, a long shot but if any body has any ideas id be happy to hear them.

Thanks Wildchild....

I've never used x-link (do you have a URL ?) but if it uses VOIP (Voice Over IP) to communicate like Skype or NetPhone then yes you should be able to use it via WiFi to call other x-link users.

And just to make sure I haven't mis-understood your question, an ADSL modem is NOT like a PC modem where you dial a telephone number.
