Hey, I'm trying to change the system sounds for my 4150, but everything I do isn't working. I found the .wav files of the sounds I want to change in the Windows folder and replace them, but my iPAQ still uses the default original sounds. The ones I'm trying to change are "hwandsw.wav" (default clicking noise) and "MenuPop.wav" (menu pull-down noise). Are they stored somewhere else, other than in the Windows folder? I'm getting really sick of these annoying sounds. This device is so much more capable than producing these cheap 8-bit sounds. It makes it sound really old and outdated, which is definitely not the case. Anyway, if somebody knows of a way to change these specific system sounds, please let me know. I'm willing to do anything. Thanks!

I tried a lot of ways to change the sounds and it gets pretty wierd. You need to rename files that are in ROM and then create the new file using the old name. Gets messy.

I started using Soundz Cool. It makes changing all of the sounds easy. It only costs $10.

Hmm, just got the program, and it still doesn't seem to change the sounds I want changed. I read the FAQ and didn't find anything about why it isn't working, either. Didn't work after I soft-reset, either. Maybe it doesn't work with PPC 2003?
