I am about to embark of the collection of my life. Wine.

i have a very small collection now, but will be enlarging this over the next ...uh...resto fo my life.

if anyone else out there is doing this actively now on thier Pocket PC, i would love to hear how you are going about it and what you have found to be the best route.
i have no DB app on my ppc, yet but would try one out if it would do this. i only wnat to track my wines, so i dont need a fullblown app that i can build my own forms/DB's.

I would prefer somethign out of the box.

I have seen the Wine Enthusiast application and it looks good, but i have read that it's copy protection uses the PPC's name as part of the key and if you rename your PPC, you have to buy a new license.
The 10000 bottle DB sounds great for quick reviews of bottle in it's DB and being able to add your own is exactly what i want.

anyways...any thoughts?

There is a free application called XSForms... its a database program. If you go to their site someone has created a Wine Program for anyone that wants it.

ListPro would work great in your situation plus has other great functionalities. For me it's much easier to track my collection. Open box, serve, refrigerate.
