I am having some difficulty with an enduser's iPAQ 3950. I have installed and configured wireless for her device and can surf the web with no issue. When I try to connect to her email I am unable to log into the server. I know her credentials are correct because it works through active sync. I have gone through the connection manager and made the appropriate changes but it still will not connect. I have successfully used her acount info on my 2215. I have tried different wireless cards (same and differnet manufacturer), and different sleeves but the problem persists. I am going to bring in my 3765 to see if I can recreate the problem.

Can anyone think of why this might be happening? Since I am able to surfe the web and have a valid IP I can only assume that it is device oriented. It is not on the server end because it works on my iPAQ 2215 (unless WM 2003 is doing something different).

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help!

John

Some hotspots that I've tried to connect to allow web surfing but not e-mail. But this is a personal wifi hotspot, right?

No, this is an enterprise hotspot and email is not blocked. But good thought.

So I brought in my 3765 today and was able to configure the device to retireve the user's email with no issue. I am baffled. Is it possible that part of the device could be damaged? I don't think it is the OS since I was able to configure my 3765 to retireve the email. Any thoughts?
