howdie~
I've got an idea for an app that I'd like to either develop or pitch to someone else to develop.
So the nevo software is pretty cool. I like the macro features and use them pretty often. My idea incorporates voice command, nevo and a list of mp3's that I have stored on my car stereo. My car stereo uses a remote control to access the 10 cdr's of mp3s stored in the truck.
wouldn't it be great to point my 2200 at the IR receiver and say "Play x song"- The voice capture would then translate the command to a macro which would then be fed into nevo and play the song on my stereo.
I've made a database of the 10 cd's with a breakdown for disc, title and track number.
Am I dreaming here or would this be a slick app?

This software has the power to actually learn ANY Infra-Red signal and reproduce it using your h2210.
Oh yeah, IT'S VOICE OPERATED! 0X

Compatible Devices/Operating System Casio E-200, Dell Axim X5, Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox, HP iPAQ h1910/h1920, HP iPAQ h3100/h3600/h3700, HP iPAQ h3800 Series, HP iPAQ h3900 Series, HP iPAQ h5450/h5455, HP Jornada 560 Series, O2 xda, Siemens SX56, T-Mobile Phone Edition, Toshiba e740
That program doesn't support the 2215. That sucks. Great idea though I hope you figure something out.
Also without have a IR remote the PDA can not learn the functions. I'm not sure if it is a wired remote or a IR in your car but the PDA need to read a signal of some sort. Then you would only be able to either skip a track or whatever you sent to the PDA. I am not a programer or anything so I only know the basics but I'm thinking you need to write code to set up actual macro functions.

'Got home from work and checked the thread again for the name of the app.. ah well, thanks for the heads up.
well, I've got embedded visual C++ on my box at work. maybe I can sort it out. It's been pretty slow around there anyhoo. seems like it should be easy-ish?
thanks for inputs folks'.
LEARNING INFRA RED...RAD!!!
Is there an app for other devices?
(I use a 3xx Toshiba)
That would be impressive!

Maybe you should check if there is some open source code for IR floating around. It would probably help a great bit. Don't you think?

None that I know of. Sorry.
What about e-mailing a Remote Program company with your idea and let all those guys do the work. Let them know you'll be happy to test it out for them.

What?!!11, I used an older version on my h2210 and it worked fine. Hmmm, I wonder what they changed? I'll have to look into this myself. No case like this gets past the l33t M45t3r!!!111 0X

Just as I thought!
It DOES work on the 22xx!!! Ph34r /\/\3!!111
Here is what is says on the OFFICIAL site:
- "Support for iPAQ 39xx, iPAQ 54xx & iPAQ 22xx build-in CIR module"
and
- "Strong ARM & Xscale processor, Pocket PC & Pocket PC 2002 OS:
(iPAQ 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900, 54xx, 22xx, HP Jornada 56x series.....)"
I even tried the software on my h2210 and it worked just as before. 0X
