The only thing that worries me is how would I ever get any work done? I can see it now - I plan on going out for a walk but end up hanging around under lamp posts aimlessly surfing the web for hours at a time....

Its a very clever concept with each lampost 'sharing' connectivity to other lamposts that do not have a direct connection themselves. i read about this some time ago and had no idea they were ready to actually start implementing so quickly !

The article I read did say the long term plan was to implement this everywhere, including lamposts by the side of the road, so you could surf the internet via WiFi whilst driving along in a car !

Lamp-post lingerers.. Huddled masses under a lamp-post fighting for elbow room and you hear things like "This is our lamp-post get away you are hogging our bandwidth". There should be a web cam on every lamp-post just to capture all the fighting. :lol:
