Ive been looking around more and more and i finally discovered that the zaurus sl-5x00's have 3hours or less of battery and 1 hour only with wireless...

does anyone know of another good nix based PPC that would be good?

As far as I know, Sharp's Zaurus line is the only thing around that's well-known and runs Linux.

Anyone?

Pro,

I don't know about the non-wifi battery time, but I can pretty much tell you that your battery run time is gonna get shredded with almost ANY PPC if you run the wifi radio.

At least I know my 805 does.

At least I know my 805 does.
... which is precisely why I got an extended battery for my e805.

Actually, the iPAQ 4350 is known to get good battery life, even with WiFi, thanks to its "taller" battery.

Nevertheless, I haven't heard of functional Linux ports to either device.

I know you can run it on ipaq 3850 but why you would want to is beyond me since half the options would not run on it, but it's been a while since I played with it. This port was actually supported, unofficially, by Compaq in the old days.
