iPAQ 22xx Mysterious POWER ON Problem

Hi I've an iPAQ 2210 Rom 1.10 and I've noticed that my iPAQ turns itself on (I don't think this happened when I was using ROM 1.01). Does this have anything to do with the Alarms bug on WinMobile2K3? How do I fix this?

I didn't have an alarm set when the iPAQ powered on.
I also have Scary Bear's Clear Notify installed.

Any of you experience this problems?

It has to do with Activesync trying to do a scheduled sync I believe. If you open Activesync on your device then hit Tools > Options > PC Tab and uncheck Use mobile schedule to sync with this PC and on the mobile schedule tab set everything to manually it should go away.

First off, don't forget that your iPAQ will turn on at midnight to do its 'housekeeping' tasks. This has nothing to do with your ActiveSync scheduled sync settings. This 'housekeeping' is a normal thing and, as far as I know, not configurable to be disabled. This is the simplest explanation that I can think of and thought you might want to know about this first, before going around toggling settings for ActiveSync or any other application.

If you notice that your iPAQ is turning on outside of midnight, then you might want to start checking your scheduled sync settings or any other applications with scheduled events.

If after exploring other apps, your iPAQ continues to turn itself on outside of midnight, then you may want to contact HP support and go through Instant Support. They were very helpful and, though their response lags at times, you get to interact with a support person real time.

@ all: Thanks for the info... I have gone into Activesync and check the settings there I didn't have anything schedule either. Anyway will check Sprite Backup or iPAQ Backup cause these are the only 2 programs that I have installed and that I feel has a scheduled wake up or something. I will investigate further as the iPAQ turns on outside of Midnight...
