I think that WM 2003 SE will have an updated transcriber that supports word expansion that you can customize just like my Apple Newton did 8 years ago! For example, you write "w/", get with, write "lmppc", get "love my pocketpc" I'm not entirely positive, but I think that I read it in one of the spec lists. I think that calligrapher can do it as well.

Calligrapher does do this. I think transcriber's will likely work the same.

It works by defining a short form and when you write it and draw a circle around it then it executes the shortcut.

For example I find it VERY hard to get Calligrapher to recognize the dollar sign correctly so I created a shortcut "dl" for it. I write dl then draw a circle around it and a dollar sign is inserted.

Calligrapher also has its own dictionary that you can add words to and you can set it to only suggest or only recognize words in the user and/or standard dictionaries.

But how do you add words to the main dictionary so it auto completes?
