I just got my e800 here in Canada, and, it was working fine for an hour, and now the battery doesn't seem to charge. Plugging it in appeared to cause a hard reset before the problem started? Is there anything I'm doing wrong or is this a defective unit? :(

I had a similar but slightly different problem. During the first few days, it barely seemed to hold a charge. The LED would show full green and within 20 minutes, the Power applet showed 15 to 20% battery left. I did a soft reset after a full charge and then let it charge again....after that, no problem.
Not sure if that will help or not....nothing to lose....

I also had the same problem mentioned above. I also did a full charge, followed by a soft reset, and this fixed the problem on my unit as well.
Good luck!

I had same problem.
Try take off your battery and put it back.
Looks like some times it has bad contact.

hay guys i left my toshiba e755 on my table for about 3 weeks i tried to switch it on finding that it didnt go on so i put it in to charge and found it had hard reset luckily i backed up everything before i left it on my desk
now its doing the same thing that you guys said it did :)
and it did it when i first got it and some how i got it to stop doing it
so now its charging waiting for the light to go full and see what happends :) should be ok i guess any one know why this problem does happen
also my question is if you leave your ppc off for a long time e.g a month or somthing does the battery eventually die iam guessing it would coz the ppc needs to have power allways to remeber everything :)
