MPx silly question?

I'm not a developer myself, just work for one, but wondered what changes would need to be made to an existing application so that it could be viewed on the clamshell-like device - it's display looks rather landscapey (is that a word).

from a programmers view you have to make your controls resizable.
what i like about pocketpc is that the screen resolution is fixed(at least till this time) and i dont like coding resizable controls. but from now on the programs have to "know" the screen orientation and draw the controls this way

It's not that bad. Most desktop apps are designed to be resizable, to some extent. Similar tricks have to be implemented on Pocket PCs now. ;)
