It seems as though Delphi has really decided to make a push for the mobile market! SPT just reported that Delphi & Orange have partnered to create an SD XM Radio card, and now we've received a press release that shows the new XM9000. The XM radio is integrated into the upcoming 6300! 8O

Don't start frolicking yet, though! Anonymous sources report that there are a few bugs in the demo units that HP has been sending out. For example, while HP has managed to keep the phone functionality largely intact, testers have reported hearing hideous screeching sounds when the phone and radio are on at the same time. Strangely enough, these problems seem to crop up only when a Celine Dion song is playing...

I would NEVER tune into a station that plays Celine Dion, so I guess the XM9000 would work out just fine for me :D

Heh, wouldn't be a bad idea, but it would definetly not be the most convenient thing for those with SD slots of the sides of their devices. Maybe a CF card. Well, you never know... :D

Well the noise is for certain not good. I like celine deon, but not everyday, only when I am actually in the mood. mmm, not often. More into RUSH :grinning devil:
If it ever did come with the XM radio, I wonder how that would affect battery life?

I'd buy it as long as I can tune into Fox News.

SMT just reported
I thought the abbrivation would have been SPT (Smart Phone Thoughts).
Can we have an official ruling on TMS (Thoughts Media Sites) abbrivations please??? Because I am not sure what I am supposed to use now.

Thanks.

Past Device - Handspring visor. Current Device - HP 2215 iPAQ. Future Device - OQO!!!!!

Hey! You guys stole my idea! I've even written to XM to pitch it! (true story that involved waaaay too much coffee). In all honesty, Samsung has developed a chip that is designed for Satellite communications, so don't be surprised if we see this service become a reality on various types of handhelds.....

Anybody want to help engineer my dream device? XM has a similar job opening at their site!
