<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1554263,00.asp' target='_blank'>http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,175...,1554263,00.asp</a><br /><br /></div><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/0,1311,i=71693,00.gif" /> "Thoughts Media Network is the portal page to two sites, Smartphone Thoughts and Pocket PC Thoughts, for people who like to keep something intelligent in their pockets. Whether you're into cell phones that think they're PDAs or PDAs that know they're PDAs, you'll find the latest news and lively discussions among kindred spirits."<br /><br />Thoughts Media sites and their respective teams were bestowed a surprise honour today - PC Magazine published an article where they listed off their pick of the top 100 Web sites that people might know know about, but should. The <a href="http://www.pcmag.com/category2/0,1738,7488,00.asp">main article lists off several categories</a> including computing, entertainment, lifestyle, politics, and other categories. Thoughts Media was put in the Consumer Electronics and Photography, alongside sites such as Gizmodo and Phone Scoop. Considering the relatively small number of technology sites in this list, it's an even greater honour.<br /><br />I'd like to thank each one of you for contributing to the community here - Thoughts Media sites wouldn't be the same without a vibrant, helpful group of people sharing the same interests. You keep us motivated, involved, challenged, and focused. Thank you!<br /><br />You'll notice it says two sites, but there are of course three sites - given that this is in PC Magazine, my assumption is that this article was written 6-8 weeks ago, before <a href="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com">Digital Media Thoughts</a> launched. I'm confident that if DMT had been around for a while, that award would have been for three excellent sites. ;-) It would be cool to have some of you post some positive comments, so if you're so inclined, <a href="http://discuss.pcmag.com/n/main.asp?webtag=pcmag&nav=start&msg=36906">you can do so here</a>.

Blah, blah, blah. We all know this is the best site going. My only question is "What took PC Magazine so long to figure it out"?

Nice job Jason, staff, and community.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I feel it's a well deserved award, this is the best PPC only news site out there, and I'd argue it has the best and easiest to access forums as well - for any type of site. Very nicely layed out, navigation is a breeze, and it's pretty! (unlike the site giving the award:P) Oh yeah, plus it's free (my favourite feature) :D I also like the fact that people like me aren't censored if our opinions differ (heck even the PPCThoughts team's opinions differ sometimes!). Keep up the good work and may you enjoy continued success!

Congrats Jason and folks!

I've always found articles posted here interesting and easy to discuss. The forums here contain solutions to virtually any problem related to PocketPCs. I've hardly visited any support sites or Googled for a solution to a problem because I've always found it here. Excellent stuff!! :rock on dude!:

I'm not responsible for PC Magazine making the final picks for top sites, but when I was asked by a friend at PC Mag in February what my favorite sites were, yours was one of the few that I could genuinely refer. So I happily introduced him to your site.

This is probably the most informative non biased Pocket PC sites out there (well, non biased if you excuse Palm's existence). I visit this site religiously and have made the cross over from Palm to PPC becuase of this site and never regreted it.

Hope this newfound fame boosts your growth.

Cheers!
:D

If anyone is still monitoring this thread, I have a favour to ask: the one and only comment posted to the site profile page is pretty negative, and I'd really like to see some positive comments to offset the nasty one. None of the other sites in this category have a single comment, so it sort of makes me wonder if this "Spiffing" guy has an axe to grind with me or something. ;-)

Anyway, a few positive comments would be great if you're up for it!

Congratulations to everyone!

I have a list of sites that I keep in a tab folder in Firefox that I visit everyday. This is the first site to visit on that list..

Keep up the good work!

The whole domain seems to be down - try again tomorrow perhaps? :-)

OK, I added my two cents. Apparently it has to be reviewed first though. They said it should be up within 24.

OK, mine made it through.

By my completely arbitrary and non-scientific estimations, I'd say if you asked 20 people for an opinion on Thoughts sites, 19 would be very positive. By my count, there are 3 positive and 1 negative posts up at this point. So, that means we need at least 16 more.

So get to it everybody!
