Screen went (blue)

My screen went blank. It actually has a dark blue color to it. The backlight is on, but it is uniformly blank. If I tap it, I can hear icons on the today page fire. When I soft reset, I get a quick flicker and then the blank screen.

It is an iPaq 5555 and I purchased it about 7 months ago. Is this something others have experienced?

I have experienced this. Take out your battery for around 3 seconds and put it back in and then soft reset. Don't keep the battery out long it will erase your data, 5 seconds is fine. If this doesn't work the first time try it one more time.

Opps! My mistake. I've had the expansion pack on for so long I forgot that the battery is accessible.

Anyway, I did a hard reset and removed the battery with no luck. HP wants to send me a box. First I'm going to check with Best Buy, though, since I have a service plan.
