On several recent occasions, I have attempted to add several different programs to the 1G SanDisk CF card I have installed in my e755 running 2003. Mid-way through the installation process, a window on the desktop PC states that there is insufficient memory on the mobile device and deleting programs will free space, etc (despite only ~90M of the 1G in use on the CF card). Neither resetting the PDA nor the desktop computer affected the install. I tossed a SD card in, however, and the programs installed without a hitch to that. Any ideas why they didn't like the CF card?
As a side... I previously tried StorageTools from SoftWinter as a defragging tool for the memory cards (hey, it works for your desktop, right?). I had the unfortunate experience of the program corrupting all of the program files stored on my CF card while attempting a defrag/repair. :!:
Is there some sort of regular maintenance (such as defragging) that needs to be done on these PDAs? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
