I gave my wife a new theme yesterday (Linux Penguins No Evil - guaranteed to make women go "Awww..."), but after loading it on her 1945, she noticed that she couldn't see the Start Menu. When I looked at it, I discovered that no matter what theme was loaded, the Start Menu text was white (it's normally black). As a routine troubleshooting step, I did a backup/hard reset, and the text is still white.

The only thing that makes sense is the ROM upgrade, which she put on last weekend. Has anyone else seen this?

Tweaks2K2 (http://www.pc-counselor.com/downloads.htm) has just released a version that will allow you to change the text color on the start menu. Take a look at this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25856&start=80) as well!

Well, at least we know it's not just us. Thanks for the pointer.
