My iPaq external speaker stopped working today. :( I can't recall any event that might have caused it. It just stopped working. I can still hear sounds using an earphone though. I tried everthing I can think of including hard reset to fix the problem, but nothing worked so far. Before I call and send it to HP, is there anything I can do? I really hate sending it away.

The headphone jack is designed to "switch off" the speaker when you plug in headphones. Sometimes, it gets stuck even when you remove them. Try jiggling in the headphones a few times (maybe up to 10 times) and see if it "unsticks". That's the most common problem given this symptom.

Wow, Thanks Janak. It worked!!!
I had tried what you suggested before, but didn't do enough times. Doing it 10 times did the trick! 8)

amazing! wish they made the headphone jack better! Anyways, what other problems came up on the 4155s?

To be fair to HP, I haven't seen other reports of the same problem. So probably it's specific to my unit. 4150 is a fantastic PDA except the yellow tint screen.

On my h2210, it happened only once. I plugged in a headphones, unplugged them (once) and speaker worked.
