A friend of mine got an ipaq 4150 korean version and it seems to ha lots of problems...

First of all I installed Pocket informant and i can't seem to setup any appointments... also... i set my ipaq's defaults lenguage to korean and whenever i do that i can't set the times on the appointments... is there any fixes for that???

second... i also tried resco explorer 2003 on the ipaq 4510, and the option screen of the explorer gets too big that i can't see the right side of the screen...

Would there be any fixes for this? is it just a language conflict???

PS. Long ago i read a post from someone changing his rom from spanish to english... where can i find info to do so? thanks...

1. If you install DioPen, the time format will be changed to Korean. PI does not recognize this time format. So if you want the regional settings to Korean and use PI, you should create or update the following registry values.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides\S1159 "am"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides\S2359 "pm"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides\STFmt "hh:mm:sstt"

The original mesage I found is at : http://todaysppc.intizen.com/zbd/zboard.php?id=free&no=21343

2. Korean Pocket PC uses 9pt fonts for system font. So most dialogs of English applications do not suit to the screen. You can reduce the font size. Please visit at http://todaysppc.intizen.com/zb41/zboard.php?id=userreview&no=2340 .

3. And you can update the Korean rom to English rom. But it'll break your warranty. You can find how to update on 2210 Korean Pocket PC at http://todaysppc.intizen.com/zb41/zboard.php?id=userreview&no=2880 . But I do not recommend this. If you change the system font size as the 2nd message, you don't need this method.

These messages are from the most famous Korean Pocket PC user group. I suppose that you can read Korean. :)

I've tried them all... I have a little issue though... Almost everything works fine... but it seems to have a side effect!!! whenever i use SPB Imageer, the korean fonts brake down... (they are almost not legible) The same thing happens with PM Pocket music, PITask and PIContacts...

Thanks...

PS. Where would i be able to seek for more help if you happen to not know the solution for this? my problem is that i have a lot of trouble when it comes to writing in korean... :(
