New build of Activesync 3.7.1 build 4034

Microsoft released a new build of Activesync 3.7.1 on the 24th of March 04.
Seems to work for me.

Does anyone know what the new build is supposed to resolve/enhance as I've had the 3244 build for a few weeks now and not had any problems with it running on XP.

Anyone any ideas ???

Perhaps it fixes some things that 3.7.1 broke with USB Sync cables? My MiniSync doesn't work with 3.7.1, so I will be interested to try the new build.

I couldn't find a readme anywhere in the install files listing what had changed, but an increase from 3244 to 4034 must mean that several things have changed.

Well I can confirm that it doesn't fix the problem with my MiniSync cable. I cannot sync with it with the new build (4034). Of course my cable may be faulty but it worked perfectly before the new 3.7.1 ActiveSync...

I can't get the new build to install on my desktop. I've tried twice - the first time the system hung. After a restart I tried again & got the Install wizard, but when it was done my AS was still at build 3244. I guess I shouldn't complain. At least it works.

Well, we know that WM2003SE was released yesterday, so my first guess it that it was updated to keep compatibility. I made some inquiries -- I'll do a frontpage post if (when?) I find out.
