Syncing with OneNote [Archive] - Thoughts Media Forums

I know that MS hasn't given a definitive answer on whether or not they will be releasing a version of OneNote, but I do have one question. I'm not a software developer, so bear with me if said question sounds stupid. :)

Is there any chance that someone could develop a notetaking platform for the PPC (or add the functionality to something like PhatPad) that would sync up with the desktop version of Onenote? Or would that be stepping on proprietary toes?

Actually, I have thought the same thing. I'm not a software developer either - but I can't imagine it would be THAT difficult. Especially since OnNote notes use minimal formatting.

If you look in your MyDocs folder, there is a NyNotebook folder that holds your OneNote data. It seems to be in a proprietary format however. I've tried opening in Notepad, and just get garbage. Wish it would be in the XML format that MS is supposed to be embracing in Office2003 - then it would be much easier to make happen.
