Does anyone know of a way to make a quick shortcut to connect to the Internet straight from the Today screen?
I'm thinking something along the lines of an icon that could be used with Spb's Pocket Plus or the equivalent.
Tap the icon, and bam - you're connecting.
I know - I could set my home page of PIE to something that would immediately dial the connection, or I could open Inbox and click on the Connect button, or I could have a shortcut to Settings > Connections...
But that's not what I want!
There must be a way!

I use shortucts to iexplore.exe in the start menu with a parameter that specifies the url I want to open. I'm not using PE though, just WM2003 with a WiFi connection. I don't know if there are any hoops to jump through to get the phone to make a connection.

One choice is Spb's GPRS monitor. Works like a charm with the i700. Two quick taps and I'm connected. In fact, I think there's the option of a Today plugin, although I don't use it. ;)
There's a couple of others that looked awesome, but I can't remember their name right now. :(

You can tap the antenna icon; there's a "connect" option there. Probably not quick enough for you, I guess...

I have a Samsung i700 - what device do you have?!

Only WM2003 devices. Pocket PC 2000/2002 did not have that option.

Thanks for clarifying that Janek!
And that proves that I'm not so crazy to be asking for that capability, because they built it in to the latest version of the OS!
Now if only Samsung/Verizon would get off their duffs and offer us WM 2003 for the i700, life would be good!

Indeed. We're waiting for WM2003, and WM2003SE is already out. :|
