<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.evmo.com/text/Default.aspx' target='_blank'>http://www.evmo.com/text/Default.aspx</a><br /><br /></div>If you're like me (and I wouldn't necessarily admit that in public), every now and then you come across one of those PERFECT Web sites that has that special information you've been dying to find. If you connect your Pocket PC to the Internet in any way, shape or form, then you HAVE to try <a href="http://www.evmo.com/text/Default.aspx">Evmo.com</a>!<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/adrian/evmo.jpg" /><br /><br />"Evmo is like having your own personal concierge on your Pocket PC, always there and always ready with advice. Evmo helps users find great restaurants, stores and bars in their neighborhoods. Evmo also offers weather information, stock quotes and news from over a hundred different sources. Users may even surf the Mobile Web using the directory consisting of 500 mobile Web sites."<br /><br />All you have to do is enter your ZIP code, and all of the information is customized for your location. For example, tapping on the Hospitals link brings up a list of the major hospitals in my area. It can also be set up to display localized information on its home page, like showing your local weather forecast.<br /><br />Registering for the site is absolutely free and takes about 20 seconds. This is one of those "must have" sites on your Mobile Favorites list.

Brad, EVMO may be close to being a good site now, but they've been changing the face and content, order, trend in the last 12 months. That's why it's called Beta-3 in the current state.

One day it'll be out of Beta. Just like ICQ and other software that are forever in "Beta"...

For example, I'm tired of registering with EVMO. I've done it three times already, and each time they change their minds about the content, the registrations are gone. The first time I registered with them the name was "My Mobile Stuff", then "Evolution Mobile", now it's simply "EVMO"...

The fact that they now have custom RSS feeds is cool. But they should provide an import feature to load the .opml files containing subscriptions from other programs, like Sharpreader. This would make EVMO very useful.

As usual, most of the benefit of the site only appears to be available to US users.

 What a waste of space! Good thing the registration process doesn't take too much time! The fact that they ask whether you're non US while neglecting to mention that there's not much point unless you are..... GRRR! :twak: My Area? My @rse!

If you click on "Mobile Links", PPCT is the first link under the PDA category...

Here, here!

What is it with these UScentric companies? They could at least make it clear that they aren't global and only cover the US.

I guess I'll be one of the few who will say they're pleased as punch to have found this useful site.
