Rom Update and device ID

Hi, If I've read the readme with the new rom update correctly, then after the install I cannot use the old device ID / partnership?
This poses a problem because my TomTom navigator software uses this for activation purposes (it apparently checks the device ID on both pocket pc and in activesync). This potentially means that TomTom may not activate if it does not recognise my device and pc. Does anyone have experience of this sort of problem? Is there a way around it?

Refuse to buy software, that is design to make it hard to re-install. This is a trend by many GPS software makers. PocketPC devices have a serial number. GPS software makers could lock their product to this number. Instead, they charge a premium for their software, knowing that when your device hard resets, you'll need to jump through their hoops. :devilboy:

Only way this will change is if the GPS Software makers discover their is a cost in writing this type of product.
