5550 Bug?

[Golfer]

I cannot get my ipaq 5550 to change a setting for a value of 'Work' to 'The Internet' on the following:

Start/Settings/Connections Tab/Connections Icon/Advanced Tab/Network Card Button/My network card connects to: Work

Even though I get a dropdown picklist offering a 'The Internet' option, it stays as 'Work' :(

Does anyone know a way around this ?

does this also happen when you try to change the connection settings for the internet? Also edit your work connection and make sure the option "this network connects me to the internet" is unchecked. I've had that cause some problems before.

The bug is that it resets 'The Internet' setting to 'Work' next time I go in the screen.

I have the same issue but it still says it's connected through The Internet connection whenever I check the notification bubble. afaict, the units reverting back to the Work setting is only a cosmetic thing.

That is very strange, the only thing I can think of is a 3rd party program that's causing the problems. If possible I would do a complete backup and then hard reset and see if you are having the same problems. If not I'd install programs one by one until the problem re-appears.
