Now, why would they have that, unless <a href="http://estore.shopplex.com/app/storefront.aspx?cat_id=162&inv_id=31001143129607&modid=30214092059015&aid=5">the device is real</a>? ;-)

But we really need verification from the FCC database since this device will need approval.

But we really need verification from the FCC database since this device will need approval.
I talked to someone who would know about this, and he said that when a company is submitting something for approval, there's a box they can check off and it won't be published on the public site - but that 99% of companies forget to check that box. So perhaps the FCC database isn't as reliable now as it once was for finding leaked devices...just one theory. ;-)

I dont think that the link "the device is real", works. At least not for me using IE.
 Jason I know that you know about upcoming technology and when new PPCS are expected, as well as the name of the next version of WMobile. Just like last time when we all stayed up in anticipation of the release of "Pocket PC 2003", but you already knew the new name. :D
Can you at least tell us when you might be able to tell us more about the upcoming things?

My guess is 'No'.

Yeah, it looks like Tek 'n Toys is down. <sigh> Anyway, I was just linking to the pre-order page. ;-)

Soon? Honestly, due to NDAs with Microsoft, I can't say much. But the future is looking bright...and, shall I saw, both bigger and smaller at the same time. Yes. Crisper.

Hi Jason,
We are really appreicated about your hints. As long as you don't break NDA, can you tell us if the future is really bright this time? Since you mentioned the bright future for WM2003 before too, but it turns out WM2003 has no big improvment comparing with previous versions.
Thanks
Terry

Yes. Crisper.
Crisper?? Will my PPC be able to use Pringles instead of SD cards?

If that's what you believe, then there's no point in me telling you anything about what's coming up (not that I would anyway).

Crisper = Resolution.... As rumors will be borne out we will see a bump in resolution, I am also assuming some tweaks to the interface and maybe finally an X that really closes and app.... maybe a real fix for the WM2003 alarm issue. Just educated guesses  Back on topic though I really was set on an Ipaq 6000 until Motorola showed their MPx now I am torn!

Crisper: If you want an idea of what that means, take a look at a Toshiba e800 in VGA mode. If you can't do that, consider what 4 times the number of pixels in the same space would mean to how characters and icons look. e-books are awesome in VGA :)

$850 is a record for a PPC price!
Well, I think that I will wait for a better price ;)

PICTURE AND SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE STIGHTLY DIFFERENT ON FINNAL RELEASE PRODUCT spelling?
Thier are no accessories associated with this item. spelling again?
i think that this is just a gig to attract people to the site and get the to buy other stuff. it was quickly put together to chatch the eyes of some ppcthoughts member who really wants this ipaq. Also, where is the link to the manufacturer's site?

WoW, HP is so generous with their trade in offer, I could get a cool $155 for my HP 5450, I almost feel ripped off. I guess eBAY it will be.

That's what i've heard from a reliable source too. It was this source who told me h56XX would be scrapped.
For the h6000 series, they are having serious issues with the antenna (high cost) & screen (torn between current resolution, VGA or something else).

Sounds like a supervisor probably read our site and freaked out.
BTW, you posted at 4:04 pm, Eastern time. The irony. ;) (The ensuing discussion on this observation can be found here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=26091&highlight=).)
