Need a different language set? Well then, "Paragon Software have released new versions of InterKey (multilingual on-screen keyboard) and InterKey for Targus. The new version of InterKey 1.1 supports more than 60 keyboard layouts for West-European, East-Europian languages and Greek. InterKey Portable 2.0 supports the same layouts for the most popular portable keyboards." There are about 60 onscreen national layouts for the 39 languages. That's a lot of layouts! 8O <br /><br /> <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/3dlook.gif" /> <br /><br />The feature set looks pretty decent too: "...install and use up to 60 national layouts simultaneously. Custom on-screen keyboard look (standard, color, 3D look, size, etc.). Gestures function support (fast entering of capital letters, spaces, etc.). Quick switching between languages (when you use more than one language layout). Auto-repeat function (when a key is pressed and held, InterKey enters and continues to enter the appropriate symbol…). Additional alternative layouts for some languages"<br /><br />And after all that, it's also got pretty colours for the function keys too. :hippy: Nice. Well worth a look. [Affiliate]

[warning long rant]

I would very much advice against buying any Paragon product!

Allthough the products are excellent their support is not, it is in fact appalling!

Several years ago I bought their products Drive Backup and Partition Manager since they had some functionality I needed at the time.

After having bought the products, i found out that the functionality that was advertised wasnt actually implemented at the time, but was to be released in a later update. Yeah, I know, I should have tried the product out before buying it, but silly me, I trusted what they wrote on their web page..

Well, when i bought the product, i registred with my email address, which was terminated 1 month later, due to the company offering it, going bust.
I wrote to paragon support telling them that i was the legitimate owner, but couldnt use the email address that i had used, due to the fact that it was nonexistant, but they could find a match between my real world address and both the old email address as well as the new one on 3 national websites with email addresses. They couldnt care less...

So... when I last year found that I needed Interkey Portable and couldnt find anyone else offering the same product, I wrote to them to ask them, if they could tell me wheter or not I would be able to use the product with an iPAQ 5550 (wich I intended to upgrade to from my 3850 sometime in the near future)?

The answer: Off course you can!

Uhm, guess what? I couldnt.

I've been trying for some time now to get help from them to the extent of what they promised me, but to no avail...
The last time I asked them, I was directed to their e-care system where i got the choice between downloading the version I allready have paid for, or to get directed to Handango where i can buy this new version advertised here....

It might just be an unrepresentive unfortunate case, but I would strongly advise against buying anything from them unless you're absolutely sure you won't be needing their support...

I have also in the meantime found another software company who makes the same kind of product - SunnySoft (http://www.sunnysoft.com/)
I actually started out buying their product, but since i couldnt get it to work i bought Interkey instead.

I have later contacted SunnySoft since i felt i got nowhere with Paragon, and they responded very fast and was very helpful in getting me up and running, so....

As mentioned, I still prefer the Paragon software, but that doesnt count for much if its unuseable. :?
