Hi,

I want to hook up my Microsoft Smartphone to the Pocket PC (hp2210) via USB cable (my smartphone does not have bluetooth :-()

I know to hook up the Smartphone or Pocket PC Phone edition to Windows Laptop we have the USB Modem Driver, that we can load on Windows Laptop, which opens a virtual COM port over USB.

Is there a similar USB Modem Driver written for Pocket PC, which opens up a virtual port, using which I can create a Dial Up connection.

Currently Pocket PCs have only "Hayes Compatible COM1:"

Is this idea far fetched...

Thanks
Kris

Well, it's not far fetched, but it is not possible. You can do it with your laptop because the laptop has a host USB port to complement the Smartphone's client USB port. Unfortunately the 2215 also has a client USB port and so communicating between the PPC and the Smartphone is not possible over USB regardless of any drivers.

Hmm

Regardless of any driver...thats sad :-(

I hoping that since GPS devices can be connected via USB (using a special USB to Serial cable w/controller) and also mouse/keyboards. That I would be able to pull it off..just the matter of finding the driver.

Thanks
Kris

I think the problem there would be a lack of suitable driver software
