Let me start by saying that t is is my first time posting from my PPC phone on a GPRS connection. Wireless...the wave of the future!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good freeware battery status indicator for WM2003. I wat one that fits next to the connection arrows along the top with a small icon. Alsoit needs to be fairly small memory wise.
Any tnoughts?
I have a tnought.
You can decide what's best but 'Magic Button' is freeware and puts a small battery icon on the top bar plus is a utility with full program close and PPC off functions.

Check out Icbar (http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/icbar.shtml). It skins the top bar and adds a few goodies. A battery and memory indicator is one of those goodies.
Here's my skin:

The blue box in the top right is the battery/memory area. The top line is for the memory, and the bottom line is for the battery.

Yeah, laugh at my spelling...I guess I deserve it. What can I say? I was using Transcriber to write that and I was writing it in the car.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. They both look cool.
And Pat, I just noticed what you have written for your Location. That's great! Now that you're editor-in-training, it's even more important to remember: Don't Panic. :D

I really like the dependability of IcBar too. Here is the colourful page of cool skins.

I'll second Magic Button. I've been using Omega One's Battery Pack for a long time, but decided to clean up my screen. I used the Battery Bar and the Program Bar. I got rid of both. When I eliminated Program Bar, I lost the Power Task button, which I used more than anything else. Magic Button replaces it and adds the small battery bar. I also replaced Program Bar with PHM's TrayLaunch. I still have a program launcher, but the icons are all in the Command Bar (bottom bar) and don't take up any useful screen real estate. Magic Button's battery meter is next to the date and time.

Heh, it does take a bit of getting used to!
Go into WA settings, select "items" tab, at the top look in the drop down box for "Battery/Memory", check "The item is visable"

ohhhhh sweet! i'm new to WA and you just opened up a whole new section of awesome functionality for me!!! one thing i can't get to work though - i don't like the battery indicator that's a part of my current theme so i navigated to a better indicator in another theme i have and it shows up in the preview but won't change in the actual WA? no matter what it seems...

When I get a chance, I'll play with it and see if I can get it to work on my device.
