Does winzip exist for pocket pc 2003? or is there another solution for opening, viewing and extracting winzip files?

You can find a few good winzip-like apps www.handango.com or www.pocketgear.com
For the most part, the programs at those sites you will pay for.
You can also go to www.freewareppc.com but the programs have no guarantee to work and/or cause conflicts with your pda.

Resco File Explorer has zip and unzip support built in.
http://www.resco-net.com/explorer.asp
It now has ftp support, and flash card formatting built in.
If you want a picture viewer as well, check out their utility package, it is not free, but it is a great deal.

I agree. I looked at various zip utilities and ultimately decided that Resco File Explorer was the best overall solution. To call it a zip utility would be misleading. It zips and unzips - no questions about that - but it also does much, much more.
Hi,
totalCommander has also zip-capabilities. It is similar to Resco-Explorer, but freeware. http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
