View Full Version : Help: Calendar data gone but everything else intact.

My friend has an Ipaq (he's not sure what model, I'm guessing a 38xx series) He had trouble syncing it so he was playing around with the active sync settings and when he was done he had no appointments anymore. All of his other data was intact so he didn't hard reset it.

Anyone have any ideas what happened? He said he didn't delete anything or change any settings, it was just after viewing the activesync on the PPC that the Appointments were gone.
Where is the appointments database anyway? I'd like him to check it out.

Try this: Open up active sync, right click on the 'Calender' section and then click on Settings. In there you will see several options; one of which is how far in the past you want to sync (i.e., two weeks or all appointments), and which categories you want to sync. From here you should see if this is causing the problem.

Actually, he's away from his PC and didn't change any setting on it, just the PPC. He hasn't synced for 2 weeks or more.

Ok, more info. He went to ActiveSync and the server settings. He went to Calendar and then it says "Before sych with server:" and he accidentally hit the delete from device button (which is dumbly default and doesn't give you a "are you sure" message and hit OK. I think he's screwed but is there anyway to retrieve this?
