Is there a free add-on for voice chat in MSN Messenger for Pocket PC? I know there is software available but it almost always costs something. Its just you could utilise this feature with the Pocket PCs built-in microphone.

The only thing I have seen is GPhone (http://www.vliusa.com/prof_personal/pocketgphone.php). I think you have to pay for it now. It works pretty good, I tried it out with my brother when it first came out and it works pretty good.

I am not sure, but I believe you can use MS Portrait to chat with MSN messenger. I know that you can use Portrait Desktop to chat and even video conference with Portrait for PPC. Works pretty well, even at low bandwidth.
I just confirmed that you can contact your msn messenger buddies via portrait, but they have to have the Desktop portrait inorder to do voice chat. You can do regular text chat with MS portrait with your messenger buddies, but you that would be the same as using messenger anyway.
If they have Desktop portrait on their computers, portrait will start up if they start an audio chat. I don't think the full duplex works all that well, so I use the non full duplex setting.
