Hi I just ordred an O2 XDA II from expansys-usa. I was wondering where do I go to get the latest rom updates and patches for this device?
Thank you.

They just told me I can not use this device in the U.S. Cancelling order!

Unfortunately, whoever you spoke with is incorrect. The unit that expansys-usa sells is unlocked, and has tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM. T-Mobile definitely supports this.
Check out xda-developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/front_page.php) for lots of info on the xda2.

U r right! However, after surfing their site more, I discovered they offer 2 units. The one I ordered ($473) only works on GSM 900/1800. The one you are referring to($925) works on 900/1800/1900. That's a little too steep for my taste. Thanks for the info.

Don't be confused; these are two different machines. The O2 XDA which now costs $475 has been in the market for about 1.5 years. It is dual band. The O2 XDA II is the successor to the former. It came into the market in Nov. 2003 and it is triband. It costs about $925. Both of them are supported by T-Mobile.

I've used my iMate XDA2 for about 4 months now in Texas without a hitch. Just stick in your SIM from old GSM phone and viola, the phone just works. TMO doesn't support the MMS feature of the XDA2 very well though.
Carrier Devices has issued two ROM upgrades for the phone that have goone without a hitch. Both were radio upgrades.

While both work on T-Mobile USA..... Tech support will not support you in answering questions here in USA. That's where these forums come in handy.
