embedding or launching media player from VB.NET for Pocketpc

i'm a beginner trying to develop an smart device application using VB.NET that will be able to embed or launch media player to view mpegs. I have created a smart device project to do this but the standard media player component is disabled and the 'system.diagnostics.process.start' command doesnt work either.

I know there must be a way of viewing mpegs from a smart device app, however i am absolutly stuck!!

any help would be greatly appreciated
